Washington, D.C. — Interview on Al Mayadeen, Beirut, Lebanon regarding the Israeli and US military action now moving to Lebanon, at the direction of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, to take out Hezbollah.
Key points and personalities:
Oct 7 2023, Hamas out of Palestine/Gaza surprise attack on Israel, killing 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals.
Israel, with US Military Support, has killed over 60,000 Palestinians, mostly civilians, to date. Thousands more are starving to death as this is written.
Israel with US Military Support, launched a “strategic air” attack on Iran.
Israel with US Military Support, launched attack on Lebanon—which houses Hezbollah—an anti-Israeli, anti-US terrorist group.
Sheikh Naim Qassem is the Lebanese Hezbollah leader, who has vowed to fight Israel and the US, to the last man.
US Ambassador to Turkey, Tom Barrack, and French President Macron, are calling for the country of Lebanon to give up Hezbollah, or essentially surrender to Israel and the USA.
15 Nations are now calling for a new Palestinian state, including the news that the United Kingdom will recognize Palestine—a huge blow to Israel as the UK was an original sponsor of the Belfour Declaration that created Israel in 1948.
MAGA Mike Huckabee, US Ambassador to Jerusalem, denounces Israeli “terror attack.”
MAGA supporters Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, Rand Paul, others call for US to reexamine unqualified US support with Israel.
MAGA leader in US House of Representatives, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, calls for a cut in missile defense aid to Israel—while it failed—that legislation was sponsored at all, and more still, that it was voted on, shows the fracture on the Right regarding Israel.
Gallup Poll: Only 32% of U.S. Citizens Back Israeli Military Action in Gaza.
Trump is not stupid. He reads the polls just like every other politician, and he is paying attention to his MAGA “American First” base.
The risk Trump and Netanyahu take by lighting a match and throwing it into a powder keg is it might actually blow-up, or at a minimum create blow-back against the U.S. troops stationed in and around the Middle East.
History lesson for you. Google: “Beirut, 1985, 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and 3 soldiers.”
The US and French soldiers and civilians killed in 1985 were part of a “Multinational peace keeping force.” That’s the reason why the US government will not give the current government of Lebanon “peace guarantees” if and when they expel Hezbollah. Which is why the Lebanese government will not expel Hezbollah.
And the cycle continues.
